| PACSNET 3000
Pacsnet 3000 is a field proven wireless telemetry network ideal for the secure monitoring and control of industrial sites and offsites. It is significantly less expensive than cabling but offers both fast responses and security of data unmatched in simple radio telemetry systems.
All stations are configurable with any mix of I/O and function easily accommodated in the range of standard enclosures.
There are two standard Pacsnet Network packages which offer different features. PACSCOM carefully selects the most appropriate for your needs in any system design.
PNDB - This is a central database scanning system which operates on a master slave arrangement. All outstations are addressed on a cyclical basis from a central poll table. Typical update time for data is approx 350mS per station. The network management system ensures all messages are error checked and monitored and any failures are handled as per the configured failsafe routines.
PNDB is ideal for fast scanning of outstations where power is available and the response and knowledge of transmission on a deterministic basis is essential or advantageous.
PNIO - This is an event driven network whose operation is completely controlled by custom configuration. It is ideal for low power applications where only solar or other alternate power is available. Many standard models exist making set up normally just a change of a few timing and control parameters. There is no formal master station in the network as operation at any station can be controlled by
Time
Event
Message Receipt
Simple alarm on I/O Card
Complex Boolean Alarm from input signals
Wake Up signals - vis RF Network
Wake Up signals - via local I/O
it is possible to configure a highly interactive operation if required.
Both networks run on the standard PACSNET 3000 hardware which comprises a
and typically the central station will be interfaced to a SCADA system, PLC or wide area RTU device ensuring full Wireless SCADA operation.
