Scanning Telemetry - IP Connectivity    
 
PACSCOM distribute the GE MDS Scanning Telemetry System (TransIT) which operates full IP Connectivity over a UHF bearer in a point to multipoint configuration. 
 
An MDS Transit system offers intelligent wireless networking products and network management software to support real time applications such as lottery terminals, ATM machines, POS terminals, water, gas and oil SCADA, etc. The Transit On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) system is a highly efficient wireless implementation that employs intelligent radios at each end of the wireless network. A Transit point-to-multipoint system is organized in cells. Each cell consists of one NM-200 master station and multiple NR-100 remote radios managed by Transit NMS (Network Management System) software. Multiple master stations are typically connected through a WAN to one or multiple processing centers.

Transit integrates into existing customer networks allowing the wireless network to seamlessly coexist with a wired network infrastructure. It provides intelligent network support for real time applications with a data transfer rate of up to 19.2 Kbps.

Plug and Play Industrial Ethernet Modems
 
The MDS entraNET 2400TM is a long-range, solar friendly, secure wireless IP/Ethernet solution. It allows customers to bring business information over Ethernet or a serial gateway and onto IP based networks. This includes mission-critical, revenue-generating data from fixed locations such as compressor stations, pipelines, fluid storage tanks and utility meters.

Each MDS entraNET 2400 cell is made up of one access point and multiple remotes (Serial or Ethernet):
Access Point, provides both serial and Ethernet connectivity.
Serial Remote, provides one serial port with protocol encapsulation over IP.
Ethernet Remote, provides ethernet connectivity to a single remote device.

MDS entraNET 2400 uses advanced 2400 MHz FHSS technology for license-free operation in the 2401.6-2477.8 MHz band. It is capable up to 106 kbps over-the-air data rate communications.
                                                                                      
 
 
 
 
     
RACOM IP Modems
 
The RACOM family of modems are managed and configured by use of the unique MORSE Language.  This brings a number of benefits:
  • The ability of radio modems to also act as IP routers
  • Connection via Ethernet or PPP (RS232)
  • More client IP addresses (network segment) on a signal radio modem
  • High speed radio modems (up to 196 kbps) sufficient for the needs of IP networks
  • The applications of different users running in a single network
  • Can be combined with conventional IP network.

Radio modems for frequencies in the 160-400 MHz band are the primary building blocks of the MORSE communication system. Compared to standard radio modems, the main difference is represented by the high-end intelligence and functionality of radio-routers.

RACOM offers modems for all common bands and channel widths in both half-duplex and full-duplex options with output power up to 25 watts. Their speed and switching time are always on the border of physical possibilities.

The modular concept of construction means that solutions can be adapted to every customer’s individual requirements.
