GSM MONITORING OF 11KV DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS
FAULTWATCH CONCEPT
The FaultWatch Concept is to use advanced low power technology to offer GSM based alarm monitoring of remote 11KV sites utilising 10 year battery power .
PoleWatch locates on an 11KV pole and works with a Fault Passage Indicator to detect and alarm loss of volts and/or passage of Fault Current. The unit raises an alarm and sends an SMS message to the FaultWatch Control Centre located typically in the Central Control SCADA Office.
EEFIWatch locates on Ground Mounted Switchgear, typically in Secondary Substations and detects passage of Fault Current. The unit raises an alarm and sends an SMS message to the FaultWatch Control Centre located typically in the Central Control SCADA Office |

FaultWatch Control is a PC based Package which collects and displays the alarms in a simple user friendly way. It uses MS ACCESS for the Database ensuring easy integration into networks for data archiving. |
