FAULTWATCH is a battery powered alarm system for remote monitoring on Rural Overhead or Underground Cable systems.
Faults detected at strategic locations on the network are sent by GSM to a central location where they are displayed on a FAULTWATCH Control System.
FAULTWATCH Control is a PC based MMI package supervising an ACCESS database of all data associated with the FAULTWATCH Field units. Any user SCADA system can access the FAULTWATCH Database by normal networking techniques and integrate this data into its own database and display facilities as required.
RADIO MODEM
PACSCOM Radio modems, particularly the CMD400U are used extensively throughout the Electricity Utilities. The ease of use and flexibility of set up has made them the modem of choice for both complete new networks as well as retrofitting older networks with legacy RTUs and SCADA Systems.
The CMD 400U units also support many proprietary and Open protocols in Relay Mode and Store and Forward mode within the units themselves. These modes are ideal for extending rural networks into difficult geographic locations without expensive RTU locations for radio networking.
